Beru Whitesun was a simple, caring young woman who was content to live her life in the bleak desert environment on Tatooine. Eventually married to moisture farmer Owen Lars, Beru made a caring foster mother to Luke Skywalker when Obi-Wan Kenobi bestowed the infant child to her and her husband. Tragically, both Lars spouses were savagely killed by Imperial Stormtroopers on a hunt for R2-D2 and C-3PO.
