Lore [ ] Lanais were female Jedi Caretakers who took an interest in Luke Skywalker during his reclusive visit to Ahch-To. Distantly related to the porgs, these creatures lived in a hillside village that overlooked a cave. Making regular landings to Ahch-To after long stretches at sea were the male of their species, or "Visitors." The dedicated Lanais Caretakers also made sure the island's ancient temple and other historically-significant buildings were properly tended to as the years rolled by.
