Lore
Han Solo's Wookiee co-pilot aboard the Millennium Falcon, Chewbacca fins his expert flying skills called into full play as he doges deadly asteroids and incessant laser blasts from Darth Vader's Imperial attackers. Separated from the Captain after Solo is carbon=frozen on Bespin and flown to Jabba the Hutt by bounty hunter Boba Fett, Chewbacca remains with rescued Princess Leia and repentant Lando Calrissian as the trio devises a plan to retrieve their immobilized friend.
