Sith warrior Darth Maul fabricated and wielded a red, double-bladed Lightsaber, which he used on missions for his master, Darth Sidious. It was essentially two identically-designed Lightsabers that were bound together at the pommels. Although this Lightsaber was cut in half by Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Battle of Naboo, it continued to function in single-blade form.
