Lyra Erso was the wife of Galen Erso, unwitting creator of the Death Star's superlaser. Armed with geological training and a vast knowledge of crystals, she assisted Galen, then became rightfully suspicious when the Empire began to hover over his work, eventually perverting in into the most devastating weapon of war known to man. A true believer in the Force, Lyra risked all to protect her family.
