A Separatist and a leader of the Geonosians, Poggle the Lesser welcomes his fellow conspirators to a gathering on his homeworld. Poggle was present when the Jedi stormed the arena to rescue Anakin Skywalker, Padmé Amidala, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. He fled to a control room, where he handed off a particular set of documents to Count Dooku. The materials were plans for what Poggle called the ultimate weapon, a terrifying orbital space station commissioned by Darth Sidious. It would come to be known as the Death Star.
