Roaring out of the skies like mad banshees, TIE fighters were the main attack ships of the Empire for many years. But like sophisticated flying craft, improved variations were developed. Far faster and more heavily-armed were Imperial TIE interceptors, which generally replicated the original ships' design, but added angled-wings which provided a somewhat sleeker look.
